Australian Fire & Security Pty Ltd trading name was introduce in 2001 when the three companies came together to provide a total security solution. The original focus of the Electronics division since the early 1990’s was to install smoke and intruder detection systems in smaller commercial and domestic premises. Since then, demand for its service has grown to the extent that it now provides diverse services to large educational facilities, councils, power stations and the racing industry, as well as to the other well-known security providers on a contract basis.
Recently, Australian Fire & Security Pty Ltd has designed and installed a new state-of-the-art Control Room facility at Australian Fire & Security Headquarters in Somerville Road, West Footscray. This facility monitors alarm, camera and data signals from fixed and mobile assets using the latest technology available. AFS Electronics is an industry leader in video storage and transmission technology. During 1999, one of the principals of AFS Electronics project-managed the installation of the Sydney Street Camera System for the City of Sydney as part of their Olympic preparation.
